Perhaps one day NASCAR race cars will be powered by solar energy. If that ever comes to fruition, Sunenergy1 will be there to help usher the sport into the new age. It wouldn’t be the company’s first foray into the sport. Last year, the Company sponsored several drivers’ cars for a few races. They return in 2017 as a primary sponsor on the no. 24 Chevrolet SS of Chase Elliott. Sunenergy1 is one of the largest solar developers and contractors in the U.S. They already have more than 500 megawatt of solar projects online, with another 2,000 megawatt coming online soon. Elliott’s latest action racing Collectables die-cast – the no. 24 Sunenergy1 Chevrolet SS – is now available for fans and solar energy advocates to order from Lionel racing. This die-cast will make any collection the talk of the neighborhood.
