When Kyle Larson debuted in the NASCAR Sprint cup series at the fall charlotte race in 2013, he was a 21-year-old driver in the midst of a solid Rookie season in the NASCAR XFINITY series, where he eventually took home the series' Sunoco Rookie of the year award. A season after making his first start in NASCAR premier series with target Onboard as the primary partner, Larson received a full-time ride in the NASCAR Sprint cup series with chip ganassi racing with Felix sabates, becoming the first NASCAR drive for diversity graduate to run a full schedule in the series. Larson's strong Rookie season would again earn him the Sunoco Rookie of the year award. Heading into his third season, Larson continues to drive the no. 42 target Chevrolet.
